The Director of Construction is a member of the Senior Management Team, and is responsible for all aspects of the day to day leadership and operational management within the Construction Services Division. This position requires a driven, confident, energetic leader who has the experience to mentor and grow high performing construction teams.Job Dutiesâ¢ Develop and Implement Construction Operating Plan.â¢ Lead, direct, and coordinate the daily operations activities of the construction department.â¢ Provides oversight and pre-development input to the purchasing / estimating team.â¢ Plans and coordinates all final construction documents, schedules, and collaborates with estimating and purchasing.â¢ Responsible for all aspects of multiple projects from start to finish.â¢ Provide leadership and oversight, internal and external, regarding the successful execution of the project work flow and task management with the collective team.â¢ Oversee the preparation of weekly & monthly reports on project progress.â¢ Regularly updates the project schedules.â¢ Responsible for ongoing resource development.â¢ Analyzes job costs and manages the project to the closing budget.â¢ Mediate situations of conflict and find mutual resolution with all respective parties, both internally and externally. â¢ Perform Performance Evaluations for construction associates.â¢ Ensures associates and subcontractors remain in compliance with company safety standards.â¢ Executes successful completion and close-out and the acceptance of each project.

Responsibilities and Duties
Annually reviews and makes recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs
Ensure compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth.

Assist Executive Management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the Company’s performance evaluations and incentive programs.
Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on Human Resources matters.
Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the organization.
